Concierge By Appointment

The Personal Shopper

Collins Street's maisons know our shopper by name — private appointments, after-hours salons and pieces waiting in your suite before you've finished breakfast.

Complimentary for residents · Commissions paid by maisons, never by you

Overview

The City, Curated to You

The service begins with a conversation — occasion, taste, budget, deadlines — and ends with a rail of considered options in your suite, not a shopping list. Returns are handled by the desk; you keep only what earns the wardrobe.

For race week and gala season the service runs at full sprint: milliners, tailors and jewellers hold pieces back for our guests, and the seamstress on Level 2 turns alterations around overnight.

Race Week Sprint

Cup week is the service's grand prix — millinery holds, overnight tailoring and accessories matched to the enclosure's dress code.

The Details

What Sets It Apart

After-Hours Access

Private appointments at partner maisons — Collins Street opens early or stays late when our shopper calls.

In-House Tailoring

The Level 2 seamstress turns standard alterations around overnight — formal wear pressed and fitted by morning.

Jewellery & Watches

Appointments with Melbourne's serious jewellers — viewings arranged in-suite under house security.

Handled Returns

Decide in the mirror, not the boutique — everything unchosen is returned quietly by the desk.

The Process

How It Works

Three quiet steps — the desk handles everything between them.

Step 01

The Brief

A fifteen-minute conversation — occasion, taste, sizes, budget, deadline. Photos help; honesty helps more.

Step 02

The Pull

Our shopper works the maisons and brings a curated rail to your suite — or books you into private appointments.

Step 03

The Decision

Keep what earns its place; everything else disappears. Alterations run overnight where needed.

The Service Includes

Questions

Before You Book

The three questions the desk hears most — answered plainly.

Nothing beyond the purchases — partner maisons pay the service commission. Your only spend is what you keep.

Forty-eight hours for a proper pull; race week and gala season want a week. True emergencies have been solved in an afternoon — ask anyway.

One of the most common requests — describe the person and the occasion, and the desk wraps, cards and delivers it to the room.
